My good friend Jon Brenthel from Brenthel Industries just sent me a handful of photos of a brand new Ford F150 they just finished up on. The truck is 4 wheel drive and is running their new F150 4wd long travel kit. Jon’s company builds full on trophy trucks and has taken their knowledge from professional off road racing and used it to build the best performing long travel and lift kits around. For more info on them check out their site or click the cont. reading link to see the rest of the photos of the truck.
Came across this GT2 racing video on Time Attack Forums today. The video is of a GT2 Porsche 911 driven by Bergmeister battling a Chevy Corrvette driven by Magnussen at Lagun Secca. The video is a little long (running 10 mins) but worth watching the entire thing if you have the time. If not fast forward to the last 3 mins. Video after the jump.
Came across this matte black Dodge Viper while looking over ADV 1 wheels‘ website. The car caught my eye and since I havn’t been posting any domestic stuff lately I thought it would be a good post. Check out the gallery after the jump
Its not technically automotive, but it has a motor and wheels so I thought I would post it anyway. My friend Ryan had shown me this post on good old Craigs List as the two of use where considering picking up some Rukus for pit bikes. I have actually held back as I didn’t want to get another project that will drain the wallet, however when he showed me this it was something I could stomach as it comes customized.
The company is called E-Z Cruiser Bikes and based out of So Cal. The bikes range in price from $500 to most around $600, and seem to move pretty quickly while being quite. The claim 150 miles on a tank of gas which is very impressive. For more photos check out the gallery after the jump or click on their website to get a quote.
Came across this install of the iPad today when a friend shot me a IM and showed it to my on Youtube.com. It made me realize how cool this item could really be. I like the whole idea of the tablet, but I was hoping for some more features on the iPad then it came out with (such as camera for skype use, usb ports, multi-tasking ect). I personally am going to wait and see what the the market comes out to compete with the iPad or at least wait for version 2.0.
Anyway about the vid ….. It was a install done in a Toyota Tacoma from a guy called Sound Man. Looks like they are using a McIntosh 6 channel amplifier MCC406M, and a special iPod dock which allows the digital signal to be pulled from the iPad and distributed to the BitOne via optical output. Came across a new blog to check out today called Dropped Union. While on there I came across a post featuring this shaved and dropped Audi TT.
Some modifications to the car include GAS airride (German Airride Systems), shaved front and rear bumpers, badgeless grill, and much much more. Check out the full gallery after the jump.
Drifting no a real motorsport you say? Well not according to the guys that run Indy. The Indy Racing League offically bought a major stake in the Xtreme Drift Circuit series. Still dont believe me? Check out their website and look at the footer.
This should be interesting as the XDC has worked with Formula Drift as a feeder series and from what I have read has a 3 year contract with them. Overall though I find this to be exciting as if larger motorsports are investing in the drifting scene it should only help the sport.
