2011 Subaru STi Now Available In A Sedan

No Comments 01 April 2010

Today at the New York Auto Show Subaru showed off a new Impreza STi Sedan. A lot of people where upset that the new version of the STi was only offered in the hatchback form so it looks like Subaru wanted to make its consumers happy. I personally like the hatch better but you never know as the aftermarket might make the new sedan look much better. While Subaru is listening how about bringing back the coupe ???? Check out the gallery of after the jump to see the photos of the actual car and not renderings that I found on AutoBlog.com

Project: FJ Cruiser

No Comments 26 March 2010

As anyone that has followed this blog from the start they will know I was in love with the Allpro FJ Cruiser that I had posted up. As a direct result when it came time to find something for a daily driver I decided on getting a Toyota FJ Cruiser for my self. This car will be replacing my John Cooper Works Mini Cooper, that was running dual purpose as a track car/ daily driver . I have come to a point in my life where Im ready to have something generally comfortable for day to day use and then have a 2nd car as a major project / track car.  With that said this FJ will go through what I consider mild mods. Nothing to make the car uncomfortable or noisy (so no performance mods at all). I have started a full on build thread on the FJ Forums as well as will be building a full on blog for it at ProjectFJ.com. For now check out the photos of it after the jump.

Chad’s S2000

No Comments 24 March 2010

I met Chad about a year ago when he came out to Vegas to visit my good friend Ryan. At the time Chad was planning to get a BMW 335i, which he later got, but like most S2000 owners, he sold it and went back to another S. The car seen here is Chad’s latest. He worked with Dan over at CCW Wheels on the set up rocking a their new LM20 model with gold anodized faces. Specs are: 18×10″ +51 Front and 18×11.5″ +56 Rear. You can check out more shots after the jump as usual.

WashabiS2K’s Honda S2000

No Comments 02 March 2010

I hate to keeping whoring out S2000s on here but when I came across this one today on S2ki I had to post it. Not only is it amazingly clean, but it has some of the most choice parts on it it around. If you know Honda’s then you know ASM. ASM produces some of the best and thee most expensive parts for the S2000. All their parts are designed with maximum function as well as driveabilty. Washabis2k’s S2000 features some of these ASM parts. The car is rocking ASM front bumper, fenders, hood, rear bumper and rear over fenders just to name a few. To add to that its rocking Ohlins coilovers, Bride seats, Stack gauge cluster, Koyo radiator, Vortec supercharger, and a verity of ARC parts. The stance is compliments of BBS LM wheels with aggressive offsets and a hint of stretched tire. Check out all the photos after the jump.

Ramon Collazo’s Stanced Honda S2000

No Comments 01 March 2010

While browsing CanIBeat last week I came across this well stanced S2000 owned by Ramon Collazo. The guys over there are always on the ball at uncovering some of the best stanced cars in the country. The S2000 before you is rocking some 17×9.5 F and 17×10.5 R BBS RS wheels, which in the S2000 world is very aggressive. Besdies the the wheels the car is rocking a J’s Diffuser, Apexi Coilovers, and Status bucket racing seats. As usual check out the fully gallery after the jump, and if you like the photography be sure to check out more of Jonathan DeHate’s work.

Honda’s HSV-010 Super GT500 Race Car

No Comments 25 February 2010

Honda recently announced that it will be competing in Japan’s Super GT series with its all new HSV-010 GT. The company use to campaign their NSX in the series until a rule change required a FR layout instead of the NSX’s MR layout. Although the rules state that only production ready vesicles may compete, Honda managed to squeak by stating that the HSV V10 has been production ready for a while now and has just been put delayed in the mean time.  To check out the full list of specs of the GT500 car as well as some photos and a video hit the continue reading link.

Sierra Sierra Evo 8 Hits 1:44.2 At Buttonwillow

No Comments 24 February 2010

Remember the Tomi / Cusco STi ? Remember how it ran crazy fast times at Buttonwillow? Remember the HKS Evo and how it holds the record at Buttonwillow? Well things are a changing. Sierra Sierra’s Time Attack Evo * recently beat the Tomi / Cusco STi’s record and is closing in on HKS’s time 1:43.523.  Eric Hsu posted up the following on his blog:

“Last week I went testing with the Sierra Sierra team to test out a bunch of new stuff on the EVO 8 at Buttonwillor Raceway. Some of these new modifications include revised front suspension geometry, stiffer spring combo, larger Garrett T04 turbo, Full-Race twin scroll exhaust manifold, larger exhaust, and a pair of larger custom Cosworth cams. Did it all work? So far so good. I think we are definitely making progress. On Hankook C91 DOT tires and the middle boost level, Dave Empringham piloted the car to a 1:44.2 on Buttonwillow’s configuration 13 clockwise. Good enough to smoke the Tomei/Cusco STi’s, but not quite HKS’ 1:43.523 yet.”

Anthony Mair Shoot – Scion XB

No Comments 17 February 2010

Anthony Mair is a local photographer here in Vegas whom I have been a fan of for a while now. He even shot my Mini Cooper a few months back and I was stoked with the end results. So today while Im bored at work I decided to check out Flickr and I saw on his photo stream he uploaded a new set of shots. The shots are of a Black Scion xB that belongs to a guy by the name of Neek. The car is rolling on some Work Eurolines (18×9.5 F and 18x10R ), Ksport coilovers, as well as a bunch of other goods from the land of the rising sun. For a full on article check out Upper Class Magazines article on the car or just hit the continue reading link to check out the photos.

I <3 JDM BMW Z4s

No Comments 17 February 2010

When I went to Japan a few years ago for Tokyo Auto Salon I gained even more respect for Japanese tuners then I already had. Their tuning style is so purposeful and well executed. They plan a full build instead of just throwing a bunch of parts together because they “make the most power” on the dyno. Each part is designed to work with the others and is well thought out prior to even touching the car.

With that said when you mix in Japanese tuning culture and BMWs you have a full blow recipe for some amazing cars. As of recent I have been really digging the Z4 M Coupes and when I came across these today I had to post them up. As usual check out the gallery after the jump.

Password JDM Bringing The Ruckus

No Comments 12 February 2010

Recently I have been looking for a new project that I can work on since I had parted out my car and decided to pick up a SUV for daily use and this summer pick up a track car. This lead me to looking into the Honda Ruckus. I was recently browsing PasswordJDM’s website and came across this clean example. I like pretty much everything about, except for the wheel set up.  Check out the full gallery after the jump.
