Running the Parker 425 w/ Norman Motorsports

No Comments 26 February 2010

What do you get when you mix 1,000 hp motors with fully hand built machines, add in some dirt, and a huge budget? Simple. The most intense motorsport on the planet …Trophy Truck Racing. I came across this awesome video following Norman Motorsports at this years Parker 425. Its about 20min long but if gives you an overall feel of whats involved in a days worth of off road racing.  I promise you that by the end of the video you’ll have a whole new respect for the sport. (BTW they placed 7th in their class :) )

New Ken Block Testing Video

No Comments 26 February 2010

Recently I had posted up a post talking about how Ken Block had switched from working with Subaru over to Ford to drive their new Fiesta in WRC. Well him and his co-driver Alex Gelsomino, didnt have the best of luck at the Sno*Drift Rally after a problem with the suspension resulted in a DNF.

Well both Block and Gelsomino are back at it practicing again for the upcoming 100 Acre Wood Rally that’s this weekend and Monster was nice enough to provide us a Hi Res video of them tearing it up. If Block pulls of a win it will be an amazing 5th consecutive win.  Check out the video after the Jump.

73 Plymouth Cuda From New Zealand

No Comments 23 February 2010

I love classic muscle cars. It was through classics that I became the car enthusiast I am today. My father use to take me to classic car shows as a kid and owned several classics him self (68 RS Camaro Convt, 1959 Caddies, ect). However as much as he like GMs and Fords I always had a place in my heart for Mopars. My favorite was the 71 Hemi Cuda, so of course when I came across this 73 from New Zealand it was a guaranteed post.

This car is owned by Aaron Beck. The car is his first long term project and quite a successful one I would say my self. Currently the car is small block 4 speed but he has plans to upgrade later this year. “The long term goal is to build it into a street driven race car, with 440ci small block, 6 pack EFI, 4-speed, GV overdrive, stock-style but fully updated suspension, full bare-carbon front end, and custom body work.”

Brenthel Industries – Class 6 Race Truck

No Comments 16 February 2010

As some of you can tell Im into trucks just as much as Im into cars. My FJ Cruiser post should have at least hinted that. Growing up in southern California its hard not to get into trucks in one way or another. Out of anything I like seeing trucks that are built with purpose, and nothing has much more of a purpose then a truck that is built for racing from 100% scratch from the ground up. My good friend Jon Brenthel and his team at Brenthel Industries built this bad ass Class 6 Race truck that they recently just got in the dirt for testing purposes. Everything on the truck was designed in CAD and laser cut prior to assembly. The guys at Brenthel Industires only use the best and never cut corners. Check out the testing video after the jump.

Video: Rally Fighter In Full Form

No Comments 12 February 2010

The Rally Fighter by Local Motors started off just a concept is now in full form storming through the desert. Its incredible to see the unique vehicle and its design process to be in a final development form, and by the looks of the video offering just as unique driving experience. The car uses some Ford parts as well as shocks by Fox. This leads to some awesome suspension travel which of course makes for some fun in the dirt. Check out the video by clicking the Continue Reading Link below.

So long infact that I can even begin to post it on this first page. Check out the full mod list and gallery after the jump.

No Comments 03 February 2010

A quick video that Monster posted up on their blog of Ken Block testing out the new Ford Fiesta out in the snow. The video is shown in real time so you can get an idea of how crazy fast they are blasting through the trees and the little room for error. For more info on the Ken Block’s Fiesta check out the Monster World Rally Team website. Video after the jump.
