I love classic muscle cars. It was through classics that I became the car enthusiast I am today. My father use to take me to classic car shows as a kid and owned several classics him self (68 RS Camaro Convt, 1959 Caddies, ect). However as much as he like GMs and Fords I always had a place in my heart for Mopars. My favorite was the 71 Hemi Cuda, so of course when I came across this 73 from New Zealand it was a guaranteed post.
This car is owned by Aaron Beck. The car is his first long term project and quite a successful one I would say my self. Currently the car is small block 4 speed but he has plans to upgrade later this year. “The long term goal is to build it into a street driven race car, with 440ci small block, 6 pack EFI, 4-speed, GV overdrive, stock-style but fully updated suspension, full bare-carbon front end, and custom body work.”

Today while browsing Time Attack Forums I came across this beautiful example of a 993 (last of the air cooled) Porsches. This is car belongs to Princeton Wong out of Texas. The car started out a basic Carrera 2 and has since been transformed in the monster you see here. AWOL.tv (Air and Water On Land) is a new site developed by the guys from video masters Wagenwerks & clothing designers Dubkorps.
“AWOL. (A)ir and (W)ater (O)n (L)and….What does that mean, anyways? The words could seem odd or out of context when used to name a multimedia project, but it’s meaning is simple. We love all things automotive. No matter if they are vintage air cooled Volkswagen’s or the most technologically advanced race cars or concept vehicles. AWOL is a collaboration of four automotive enthusiasts experiencing and documenting the machines that move us and the destinations they deliver us to. To show you our side of the story – and hopefully convey passion and excitement in a way that relates to you. We believe that being an automotive enthusiast is not just about ownership. It’s the journeys that this passion presents and sharing this with all whom we meet along the way.”

Came across this pic of this dope R56 Mini Cooper Convertible. Im pretty sure its a photoshop as the width of the rear wheels are way to large to be fit on a mini due to it being tough to run anything wider then a 8″ wheel and still be flush. Check out the full size image after the jump
Anthony Mair is a local photographer here in Vegas whom I have been a fan of for a while now. He even shot my Mini Cooper a few months back and I was stoked with the end results. So today while Im bored at work I decided to check out Flickr and I saw on his photo stream he uploaded a new set of shots. The shots are of a Black Scion xB that belongs to a guy by the name of Neek. The car is rolling on some Work Eurolines (18×9.5 F and 18×10R ), Ksport coilovers, as well as a bunch of other goods from the land of the rising sun. For a full on article check out Upper Class Magazines article on the car or just hit the continue reading link to check out the photos.
When I went to Japan a few years ago for Tokyo Auto Salon I gained even more respect for Japanese tuners then I already had. Their tuning style is so purposeful and well executed. They plan a full build instead of just throwing a bunch of parts together because they “make the most power” on the dyno. Each part is designed to work with the others and is well thought out prior to even touching the car.
With that said when you mix in Japanese tuning culture and BMWs you have a full blow recipe for some amazing cars. As of recent I have been really digging the Z4 M Coupes and when I came across these today I had to post them up. As usual check out the gallery after the jump.
As some of you can tell Im into trucks just as much as Im into cars. My FJ Cruiser post should have at least hinted that. Growing up in southern California its hard not to get into trucks in one way or another. Out of anything I like seeing trucks that are built with purpose, and nothing has much more of a purpose then a truck that is built for racing from 100% scratch from the ground up. My good friend Jon Brenthel and his team at Brenthel Industries built this bad ass Class 6 Race truck that they recently just got in the dirt for testing purposes. Everything on the truck was designed in CAD and laser cut prior to assembly. The guys at Brenthel Industires only use the best and never cut corners. Check out the testing video after the jump.
That right it says HYBRID. I came across this promo video of Porsche running their new Hybrid 911 GT3 out on the track on Autoblog. Its well worth the 43 secs it takes to watch it
Its not very often you see modified Volvos, so when I came across this one on Motoring Underground I thought it was worthy of a post. I dont know a whole lot about the car other then it was shot by Kevve and is rocking some BBS wheels. The kit looks to be the factory R line kit if Im not mistaken and I believe I saw somewhere that it was on KW suspension. Check out the rest of the photos in the gallery by clicking the continue reading link.
Came across this extremely low and nicely stanced Audi TT from Belgium and when I saw it I had to share it. Its mods may be mild but the car just look amazing. Check out the other shot after the jump.
